Inducting new teachers is a primary responsibility of HR leaders. As an aspiring / new leader in education, I feel like reinventing the wheel is unwise. If the HR leader has a sound foundation in theory and research to bolster methodology, using an existing, proving framework sounds like a great idea. My personal experience as a teacher-mentor exposed me to the New Teacher Center.
The NTC has some great resources for induction and professional development – for both administrators and teachers.
